India installed 2.38 GW of utility-scale solar in Q1

India installed 2.38 GW of utility-scale solar capacity in the first quarter of 2023, with a 54% increase from the previous quarter. About 801 MW of rooftop solar capacity was added in the same period. Key suppliers included Waaree for modules and Sungrow for inverters. Projections indicate an expected addition of 18 GW of new solar capacity in fiscal 2023-24, including 15.5 GW utility-scale and 2.5 GW rooftop capacity.
