India’s JSW Energy starts construction of 1 GWh battery storage

India is faced with an immense need for energy storage to even out supply from its booming solar energy sector. JSW Energy has announced the development of a BESS project with a 500 MWh storage capacity per segment. In addition, JSW Energy is leading the nation's first commercial-scale green hydrogen project for green steel production, with a supply agreement with JSW Steel Ltd.
