India’s largest gas supplier moves into solar module production

State-run GAIL is partnering with an undisclosed company to manufacture PV products, including metallurgical grade silicon, polysilicon, ingot/wafers, cells, modules, and solar glass. GAIL plans to set up an integrated solar manufacturing project and may acquire an equity stake in the joint special purpose vehicle. They are also looking into conducting a due diligence study for the project.
