India’s NHPC allocates 1.2 GW of solar at average price of $0.031/kWh

NHPC allocated 1.2 GW solar tender capacity to five bidders in India. Essar Renewables, Jevargi Solar (Rays Power Infra), Onward Solar Power, Avaada Energy, and Mahindra Susten secured different capacities at varying tariffs. NHPC selected developers for PV projects on a build-own-operate basis to be built anywhere in India and connected to the interstate transmission system.
