Indian government grants commissioning extension for solar projects on case-by-case basis

India's Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has announced guidelines on commissioning extensions for solar and wind-solar hybrid projects affected by the basic customs duty (BCD) on modules. Projects finalized before March 9, 2021, may receive extensions on a case-by-case basis if developers have taken necessary steps but faced uncontrollable delays. Projects without progress risk cancellation.
