Offshore Wind California praises California Energy Commission's final strategic plan for offshore wind deployment in California. The plan aims to achieve 5GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 and 25GW by 2045. AB 525 bill signed by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2021 lays out the steps for this initiative. AB 1373 legislation enables the state to procure long lead-time clean energies like offshore wind.
