Invenergy wins extension on Leading Light PPA

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has approved Invenergy's request for an extension to secure a turbine supplier for the Leading Light offshore wind farm. Invenergy faced challenges due to the cancellation of the GE Vernova 18MW Haliade-X turbine and a price increase from Siemens Gamesa. Despite concerns raised by the ratepayer watchdog, NJBPU approved the extension to 20 December, 2024, to support New Jersey's offshore wind goals.
