Investment of 10 mln. USD at Petromidia Hydrogen Plant

Rompetrol Rafinare, a member company of KMG International Group (Rompetrol), has invested almost 10 million USD in renewing the Hydrogen Power Plant (HPP) at the Petromidia refinery in Romania. The project involved replacing subassemblies in the reformer furnace to maintain high operational standards and hydrogen production capacity. The HPP unit supplies hydrogen for sulfur extraction and fuel production, with a capacity of 40,000 cubic meters/hour and minimum purity of 99.99%. The modernization projects at Petromidia refinery aim at large-scale revamps and maintenance to meet Euro5 standards.
