Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has notified the Japan Electrical Manufacturers' Association and the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA) about unwanted radio waves from solar generation systems causing wireless communication failures. The ministry highlighted interference with local government digital radio systems used for disaster prevention, fire response services, and emergency communications. Suggestions to reduce impacts include using noise filters and promoting new construction methods. The ministry warned of potential removal of solar projects that persist in interfering with radio equipment, planning to adopt IEC standards for unwanted radio wave emissions.
