Japan’s 21th solar auction concludes with lowest bid of $0.035/kWh

Japan's Green Investment Promotion Organization has completed its 21st auction for utility-scale solar energy projects. 22 projects were selected ranging from 325 kW to 13.3 MW, with prices ranging from JPY 5.0/kWh to JPY 9.13/kWh. The average final price was JPY 8.08/kWh. The agency has allocated total MW in past auctions with varying final prices.
