US asset manager Stonepeak has partnered with CATL-backed developer CHC in Japan's energy storage market, successfully bidding on battery storage projects. Stonepeak is focused on investing in infrastructure and real estate, with assets under management in the US. CHC Energy sources and develops battery storage projects with offices in Singapore and Japan. CHC's shareholders include CATL, Hartree Partners, and Cathay Fortune Corporation.
