Japan suspends incentives for 342 agrivoltaic facilities

Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) announced that the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) has suspended FITs and feed-in premiums (FIPs) for 342 agrivoltaic power plants due to violations of the revised Agricultural Land Act. The move is aimed at ensuring proper farming practices and obtaining farmland conversion permission within the allowed timeframe.
