JinkoSolar has planned to open a factory in Saudi Arabia as part of its global expansion strategy. The decision is based on Saudi Arabia's ambitious climate targets, market potential, and good industry infrastructure. The factory will focus on producing TOPCon cells and modules, with an aim to be operational by Q1 2026. It will employ a smart factory concept with full automation and autonomous processes. JinkoSolar has partnered with PIF Public Investment Fund and VI Vision Industries Company for this joint venture to maximize their strengths. While there are challenges like access to skilled workforce and culture differences, there are also opportunities in Saudi Arabia's supportive renewable energy ecosystem.
