JinkoSolar unveils TOPCon perovskite tandem solar cell with 33.24% conversion efficiency

Leading Chinese module manufacturer JinkoSolar has developed a new n-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) perovskite tandem cell with a power conversion efficiency of 33.24%. The cell was tested by the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, achieving a significant improvement over the company’s previous record. Fellow Chinese manufacturer LONGi also made advancements in the tandem solar cell field, reaching a power conversion efficiency of 33.9% with a similar crystalline silicon-perovskite cell.
