Romania considers joining the OECD as its primary strategic goal post EU and NATO integration. Integration into the OECD is anticipated by 2026. Luca Niculescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leads Romania's OECD accession process aiming to attract international investment through OECD membership. The accession involves extensive scrutiny by various committees requiring policy changes and improved implementation of laws.
