The Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has introduced a new rebate program for residential PV systems and solar thermal collectors. The program will cover up to 30% of the costs and aims to deploy 4,000 PV systems and 5,000 solar thermal systems. The Jordan Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund will provide funds for this initiative. Jordan is ranked third globally for utility-scale solar contributions to energy consumption, with 1.99 GW of cumulative installed PV capacity by the end of 2023.
