A team of researchers at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) has developed a 33.7%-efficient perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell with a new perovskite additive known as tetrahydrotriazinium. The tandem solar cell achieved improved efficiency through an additive strategy and enhanced phase stability of the films under heat and light conditions. The research aims to develop high-efficiency photovoltaic solutions for sunny and hot climates.
