Korean researchers build vertical solar panels with low reflection losses

Researchers from Hyundai Motor Group and Kyung Hee University, alongside a Singapore-based manufacturer Maxeon, have developed a vertical solar module with a microprism-imprinted PET sheet which enhances sunlight absorption and reduces reflectance losses, increasing energy generation in urban settings with limited land. Extensive testing demonstrated the system's efficiency and durability under varied conditions, presenting a promising solution for energy harvesting in tightly-spaced urban environments.
