Kosovo opens subsidy scheme for solar thermal systems

Kosovo’s Ministry of Economy has launched a funding call to support household consumers in installing solar systems for heating sanitary water. This initiative will subsidize 40% of the investment value for a complete solar water heating system, up to €1,000. The application process is split into two phases, with the first phase open until August 31 and the second phase starting on October 31. Kosovo aims to increase its renewable energy share to 35% by 2031 and has plans to auction off 950 MW of renewables, representing a €1.2 billion investment.
