L&T wins order for 185-MW solar-plus-BESS project in India

Indian engineering major Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NSE:LT) has won a contract to build a 185-MW grid-connected solar farm collocated with a battery energy storage system (BESS) of 254 MWh in a state of Bihar district in India. The facilities will be located in Kajra, Lakhisarai district. The order was awarded to L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) arm. The project is added to L&T’s renewables EPC portfolio, which totals 18 GWp of wind and solar farms already commissioned and in the making.
