Labour outlines Great British Energy vision

Labour leader Keir Starmer has outlined further details of his plans for Great British Energy, a publicly owned energy company that will develop renewables projects. Starmer vows that if a Labour government is elected, it will build clean power across the United Kingdom focusing on wind and solar projects. Great British Energy will be headquartered in Scotland with early investments in cutting edge technologies like floating offshore wind, hydrogen, and CCS. The funding will come from a windfall tax on big oil and gas companies.
