Liberia seeks consultants for 20 MW solar project

Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) plans to develop a 20 MW solar project in northeast Liberia to improve energy efficiency in dry seasons. The project will complement the existing Mt. Coffee Hydropower Plant. Expressions of interest for consultants must be submitted by August 12. Liberia aims to increase solar installations after having only 3 MW by 2023. The country also recently opened a tender for a 15 MW/10 MWh solar-plus-storage project near Monrovia.
