Long-duration stability of perovskite solar cells

Scientists from Rice University in Houston, Texas, have improved the stability of perovskite solar cells by using 2D perovskites to synthesize ultrastable, high-quality photovoltaic films. The 2D crystal template improved both the efficiency and durability of the solar cells, with the addition of an encapsulation layer further enhancing stability.
