LONGi launches modules with ‘standardised’ wafer sizes

LONGi launched the Hi-MO X6 Max series solar module in the second quarter of 2024 at its Jiaxing, China facility. The modules utilize standardised 72-cell silicon wafers and incorporate 'TaiRay Inside' and Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) cell technologies, enhancing stability and efficiency. LONGi highlighted the benefits of standardised module and wafer sizes in mitigating costs and supply chain risks. The company faced significant losses in Q4 2023 and Q1 2024 but aims to improve its financial position.
