The Hi-MO X6 Max series by LONGi entered mass production in Jiaxing, China in the second quarter of 2024. LONGi aims to exceed 30GW of annual production by Q3 2024. The new solar module features 'TaiRay Inside' and Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) cell technologies, increasing stability and efficiency by using standardised wafer and module dimensions. LONGi faced losses in Q4 2023 and Q1 2024, leading to reduction in its workforce. Concerns have been raised about potential impact on PV module quality amidst cost-cutting measures.
