Maldives opens tender for grid-tied solar-plus-diesel plants

The Ministry of Finance of the Maldives is accepting bids for grid-tied solar-diesel hybrid generation projects on several islands. The Preparing Outer Islands for Sustainable Energy Development (POISED) project will oversee the work. The Maldives aims to increase its solar capacity. In China, the world's largest sodium-ion battery project is operational.
