Maryland launches offshore workforce fund

Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced federal funding of US$4.7m to train and place workers in the state's offshore wind industry. The initiative aims to build a diverse and inclusive workforce, create jobs, raise wages, and grow wealth for Maryland families. The funding is part of the Maryland Works for Wind project to boost the state's wind industry and increase skilled talent. The initiative focuses on connecting underrepresented groups to good-paying careers while promoting economic development.
