Metals producer signs PPA in Zambia

Diversified metals producer Jubilee has signed a three-year PPA with Lunsemfwa Hydro Power Co., an independent hydro and solar power producer in Zambia, to meet the total power supply needs of its copper concentrate production. The agreement also provides Jubilee with an option to secure an additional 10 MW of solar power at a discounted rate. This PPA addresses power shortages at Jubilee's Roan operation and supports its operational expansion targeting 25,000 tonnes of annual copper processing capacity. Lunsemfwa Hydro Power Co. is constructing a 20 MW project in Zambia, contributing to the country's solar power capacity growth.
