Meyer Burger and Solestial aim to conquer space

Meyer Burger Technology AG and Solestial Inc. have partnered to produce ultra-thin silicon solar cells for space travel. Solestial will provide radiation-hardened wafers to Meyer Burger, who will process them using heterojunction technology. The collaboration aims to supply solar modules for spacecraft from 2024.
