Microsoft to power AI, cloud services with 10.5 GW of new green energy plants

Microsoft has entered into a USD 10 billion agreement with Brookfield Asset Management and Brookfield Renewable Partners to develop over 10.5 GW of renewable energy capacity. This initiative will help Microsoft support its AI and cloud services while aiming for zero-carbon energy consumption by 2030. The energy capacities will be developed across the US, Europe, and potentially other regions like Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
