Midea has developed a new indoor residential heat pump called CirQHP Indoor Hybrid, which eliminates the need for an outdoor unit. It has a heating capacity of 4.5 kW and uses propane (R290) as the refrigerant. The system can operate with temperatures as low as -20 C and can be connected to existing radiators and underfloor heating. It automatically switches between a gas boiler and heat pump for cost efficiency, providing heat and cost savings for end-users. The product is currently being presented at the IFA exhibition in Berlin, Germany.
