Montenegro finally scraps bids for Briska Gora solar power project

A tendering commission for the Briska Gora solar power plant project in Montenegro has annulled the 2018 bidder ranking decision, leading to the entire process starting afresh. The Constitutional Court of Montenegro overturned the decision following an appeal by the Montesolar consortium. The project faces controversy due to its potential adverse impact on biodiversity and cultural heritage. Issues such as lack of translated documents led to the invalidation of all bids by the commission.
