Montenegro to add 200 MW of renewables by 2026 - report

Montenegro plans to introduce 200 MW of new renewable energy, including the 60 MW Gvozd wind park and installing a new 60 MW turbine at the Perucica hydropower plant. The country aims to cut CO2 emissions by 55% by 2030 and become carbon neutral by 2050. EPCG, the state-run power utility, received loans for wind farm and turbine projects, with plans to increase capacities of hydropower plants and thermal power plant.
