Mozambique opens tender for solar-plus-storage projects

Mozambique's Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy has initiated a tender for decentralized solar and battery storage systems. The Energy Regulatory Authority is soliciting qualified independent power producers for two lots of solar-plus-storage projects in various provinces. Funding for the project has been secured from the German government through KfW Development Bank. Mozambique aims to have 50% of its energy generation from renewable sources by 2043.
