National Grid brings live 128-MW solar park in S Dakota

National Grid Renewables launched commercial operations at South Dakota’s largest solar photovoltaic park, Wild Springs complex. The park, equipped with First Solar’s Series 6 thin-film modules, is expected to generate electricity for the region and provide a direct economic impact of USD 29.5 million over 20 years. It will be run under a power purchase agreement with Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
