National Grid brings live 150-MW solar park to supply Hershey’s

National Grid Renewables has launched commercial operations at its 150-MW Copperhead solar park in Texas, along with an integrated battery storage system. Hershey Co signed a power purchase agreement for electricity from a portion of the plant's capacity. The site is equipped with First Solar's PV modules and Fluence Energy Inc's battery system. The project is expected to have a direct economic impact of USD 25 million during its first 25 years of operation.
