Neoenergia to build 10 solar arrays for Brazil's Armed Forces

Brazilian utility company Neoenergia SA has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Defense to deploy over 2.1 MWp of solar farms for the Armed Forces. Neoenergia will invest BRL 8.8 million in the construction of ten solar parks and the replacement of inefficient lamps with LED models. This initiative will reduce energy bills of the institutions by BRL 2.1 million annually. The collaboration with the Armed Forces on energy efficiency has been ongoing for over ten years.
