New deterioration diagnosis tech for individual modules in PV panel strings

Researchers from Ibaraki University and the University of Shiga Prefecture developed a novel deterioration diagnosis device for PV modules. The device uses Xenon flash lighting system and an auxiliary diode network to accurately detect deterioration in individual PV modules without disconnecting the electrical wiring.
