New York gives Empire Wind the green light

Governor Kathy Hochul announces final approval for Equinor's Empire Offshore Wind project by the New York State Public Service Commission. The project involves the construction and operation of transmission facilities for delivering electricity from an 810MW offshore wind farm into New York. The project includes submarine transmission cables, onshore cable routes, and onshore substations. Equinor Renewables Americas President Molly Morris expresses gratitude for the approval and highlights the significance of the project for renewable energy development.
