Nextracker acquires solar foundation specialist Ojjo for $119 million

Nextracker, a global provider of intelligent solar tracker and software solutions, has acquired Ojjo – a California-based renewable energy company. Ojjo specializes in unique truss systems that minimize grading requirements in utility-scale projects. The company was founded by Jack West, who previously founded Zep Solar. Ojjo's technology includes a truss with underground anchors and above-ground legs. Ojjo has delivered over 2 GW of truss foundations and holds numerous patents. One notable project is the Gemini solar and battery storage project in Nevada. Nextracker sees the acquisition as beneficial for developers and EPC firms, enhancing their integrated solution for various soil conditions.
