Nofar has 1 GW PV projects in Romania, with plans for storage and hybridization

Nofar Energy has 1 GW of photovoltaic projects underway in Romania and plans for energy storage and hybridization. Andreea Ghidicel, the company's Financial Director, mentioned the strategy at the Energy Strategy Summit 2024 organized by Energynomics. The company aims to add batteries to all PV projects and hybridize some with wind turbines. Nofar Energy started operations in Romania two years ago and already has operational and planned projects. The company seeks predictability and consumer market education for support.
