A team of scientists led by the University of Fort Hare in South Africa has designed a perovskite solar cell with an absorber made of BaZrS3, a chalcogenide perovskite material. The article discusses the advantages of using BaZrS3 in solar cell production due to its non-toxicity, stability, and optimal band gap. The research team used numerical simulations to analyze the cell configuration and found that the best performance was achieved with P3HT as the hole transport material.
