NREL interactive chart of solar cell efficiency now including ‘hybrid tandems’

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has updated its Best Research-Cell Efficiency Chart by including a new cell category called Hybrid Tandems, which captures record-efficiencies in tandem cells made from different photovoltaic materials. NREL emphasizes the importance and inclusion of various subcategories like Perovskite/Si and III-V/Si, along with recent achievements such as Longi's world record 33.9% efficiency for a perovskite-silicon solar cell and First Solar's 23.64% efficiency CIGS solar cell.
