Obton, GSSG Solar to buy 117MW solar portfolio in Japan

Japan has a total installed solar PV capacity of 122GW. Danish investment bank Obton collaborated with GSSG Solar to acquire a 117MW solar portfolio in Japan. The portfolio includes operational projects under Japan's FiT programme. Japan aims to have 36-38% renewable energy and 14-16% solar PV share by 2030. The government plans to triple renewable capacity to 363GW by 2035 for the net zero target.
