OMV Petrom acquires photovoltaic projects in Romania

OMV Petrom, a Romanian oil and gas company, bought a 50% stake from Renovatio in three photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 130 MW. They also received operating permits for solar power projects totaling 710 MW. OMV Petrom targets 1 GW of solar power capacity by 2030. The projects are in partnership with Renovatio to reduce the carbon footprint. Franck Neel mentioned the importance of partnerships for accelerating energy transition. Aurel Arion highlighted the significance of green energy for global environmental objectives.
