OMV Petrom injects 750 mln. euro in Petrobrazi’s sustainable fuels production

OMV Petrom is investing 750 million euros in Petrobrazi to become the major producer of sustainable fuels in Southeast Europe. The investment includes a SAF/HVO facility and two green hydrogen production facilities. By 2028, the company aims to supply around 250 kt/year of sustainable fuels. The CEO, Christina Verchere, and Radu Căprău from OMV Petrom highlighted the importance of biofuels for low-carbon transport. The company is committed to a total investment of 11 billion euros by 2030 for decarbonization.
