OMV Petrom secures Romanian wind, PV PPA

Saint-Gobain, a French construction firm, has signed a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with OMV Petrom in Romania. The PPA, beginning in January 2026, will cover the purchase of green electricity generated from wind and solar sources. This will meet all electricity needs of Saint-Gobain in Romania, particularly with the additional development of a solar park at the Călărași glass plant. This move aligns Saint-Gobain’s operations with their goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
