ORE Catapult wraps up floater scale-up study

Apollo, DOF, and ORE Catapult have completed a study on gigawatt-scale floating offshore wind installation methods. The study addresses the challenges of scaling floating offshore wind turbines to a gigawatt-scale wind farm. Insights from installations of floating wind arrays and oil/gas facilities are discussed. Various installation scopes are explored, shedding light on complexities, bottlenecks, and risks.
