ORE Catapult wraps up floater scale-up study

Engineering outfit Apollo and vessels operator DOF, in collaboration with ORE Catapult, completed a study on gigawatt-scale floating offshore wind installation methods. The study addresses challenges of scaling floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) to a gigawatt-scale wind farm, exploring installation scopes such as FOWT tow, mooring connection, and cable connection.
