US renewable energy developer Origis Energy has commissioned a 150MW solar-plus-storage project in Mississippi called Golden Triangle II, with a 50MW battery energy storage system. Origis is building a clean-energy infrastructure to foster a zero-carbon economy in the state. They have signed a power purchase agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to sell power from the projects. TVA aims to expand its renewable energy portfolio by adding 10GW of new solar generation capacity by 2035.
